Celebrating Safety Success Conference Announced

Royal Mail Group are organising the second "Celebrating Safety Success" Conference on Thursday 28 October as part of the European Health and Safety Week activities and CWU Area Health and Safety Representatives from Royal Mail Letters, Parcelforce and Post Office Ltd are invited to attend.

The Celebrating Safety Success Conference is the one time of the year that everybody gets together to share best practice and identify hazards and risks in the workplace.

The event will consist of at around 8 presentations from different Businesses and Business units, presenting their best practice for this year.  Similar to last year, once Businesses and Business units have identified a safety practice or development that they think merits sharing across the Group, they prepare a 20 minute power point presentation to be delivered at the Conference. The Trade Union CWU and Unite/CMA have also been invited to pick what they feel is the best of the safety initiatives they have worked on or been involved in this year do a presentation to the conference on the subject.  An external panel of safety professionals from safety professional bodies will then judge the presentations on the day. The winner will be based on their deliberations, scrutinising each presentation and the Royal Mail Group Safety Best Practice Award will be given to the successful best practice shared according to the judging panel.
